It's actually happening
The end is nigh. In a matter of hours, I shall be leaving the UK for good, and starting a new life with my wife in California. This will be my last entry this side of the pond, and I'd like to say that I have the best friends anyone could ask for. I'm extremely lucky. I won't go into it all, but I am so sad to leave them behind. Very sad. And my family too, I'm very very sad to be leaving them. My nephews and nieces will be so much bigger, so much more grown up than when they see me and my wife off at the airport tomorrow. My parents, my brother and sisters, I'm going to miss them all. The night out on Friday was so special. There were some people there I've not seen in years. One of the best nights of my life. And Saturday too was really great fun. Up till six am, a lot of belgian and bavarian beer. Thank you to all who have given me a great send off. And so I go off to the USA with the woman I love so much. We've been stressing about all the packing - so much is being left behind - because of baggage weights and all that. It has been so stressful for us both that we are certain we do not want to go through this again! Once we get to the US, that's it, we're staying. Much love to all! And keep reading for my updates on American life! |
